Wild Horse and Burro Adoptions

Sept. 21 and 22 at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds (100 Placerville Drive, Placerville CA) there will be previews of the horses and burros for adoption around 3pm on Friday with competitive bidding Saturday morning from 10 to 11am with first come, first serve for the rest of the weekend.  Adoptions start on Saturday from 8 to 5 pm.  For more information:  http://www.blm.gov/ca/st/en/prog/wild_horse_and_burro/adoptions.html

Annual Dog-A-Thon

May 18, 2013 8:00am to 11:00 am at the Schnell School (take the Schnell School Road exit and head north, the school is on the east side of the street) Come have fun walking in the Annual Dog-A-Thon event that is a fundraiser for the El Dorado Center for the Visually Impaired.  Co-sponsored by the local Lion's Club.  For details:  http://www.edcvi.org/ or call 530-626-6715

 
Placerville Speedway

There are races every Saturday of each month. Come to the speedway located behind the El Dorado County Fairgrounds across from the Raley's parking lot near Forni Road.  Call for more details about the races each month (call 530-626-3680 or visit www.placervillespeedway.com). Book Sale at the Placerville Library

The first Saturday of each month, the El Dorado County Main Library at 345 Fair Lane, Placerville has a used book sale.  For $5 per grocery bag that you stuff full of books (or $4 if you bring your own bag), you can stuff it with things like books, games, tapes and so on.   Drive into the parking lot in back of the library. It runs 8am to 2pm.  Don't forget, you can donate books to the library too!
